I had to purchase a cartridge from a local merchant due to a failure of one of the cartridges from DoorStepInk and not having a backup on hand. The cartridge I had to purchase locally (from a national retailer) did not last as long or perform as well as cartridges from DoorStepInk. I have been using DoorStepInk for probably 2 years and I go through a lot of ink, so I have purchased probably 30 or more, and only 2 times has my printer not recognized the cartridge. I contacted DoorStepInk and they had me send the cartridges back to them (they paid the postage), and they sent 2 new cartridges to me with no problems. I am a lifelong customer. I like the fact they are reusing the recycling the old cartridges, and reducing waste of transportation resources from foreign sources, and giving work in the US. The prices seem fair, and quality satisfactory. I would suggest further reduction in boxing and packaging be attempted, but doorstep does use less packing than other sources. I further suggest when I return a number of cartridges for recycling I thank you for the simple shipping label creation, but you come up with a better way to inform a buyer of a coupon for their next purchase. The pacing of your promotions by email seem okay. Be careful, to many will cause the customer to turn off.

The printer didnt reject the non cannon brand cartridge and its printing well. Not sure how it compares to cannon xl in terms of printed pages yet.
